THE BARNSTAY

The Barnstay at Redwood Park, built over 150 years ago, is a piece of the property’s rich history. Originally a barn with hand-sawn floorboards, it was transformed into accommodation over 45 years ago and recently renovated with a library and queen suite.

While retaining its rustic charm, it now offers a touch of modern luxury.

THE LOCATION

Located on a private 100‑acre estate that blends manicured gardens and rolling lawns with the raw beauty of the Australian bush, Redwood Park Wollombi offers a peaceful escape in the lower Hunter Valley — just 1 hour 45 minutes from Sydney and 1 hour 15 minutes from Newcastle and the Central Coast.

Positioned between Broke and Pokolbin, our property feels both central and secluded, giving guests easy access to the Hunter Valley while still feeling worlds away from everyday life.

Brimming with country charm, the historic village of Wollombi was established in the 1830s as the administrative centre of the district. Remnants of the original convict‑built Great North Road can still be seen today as you descend into the valley along Tourist Drive 33.

Long before European settlement, the land now known as Wollombi was an important meeting place for coastal Aboriginal peoples — a landscape rich with cultural significance and deep connection.
